Nestled in the heart of Costa Rica’s highest mountains and far from the usual tourist paths, Providencia is Costa Rica at its finest. You will sleep in tents and lounging areas will be provided at the campsite. Expect campfires, swimming holes and a laid back camp vibe. The camp will stay in the same spot for the duration of the race so no need to pack your bags every morning. Breakfast and dinner will be provided daily along with snacks and lunch items during the race. There will be a banquet and awards ceremony in San Jose on the evening of the 25th.

    The biking stuff

  • 4 days of blind racing on unspoiled Costa Rican singletrack
  • Event Swag
  • Professional timing and course marking
  • Professional level first aid and feed stations on course every day
  • Professional mechanics service
  • Prize money in pro category

Routes

Based out of Providencia, the race will spend 4 days exploring the area's best and most remote singletrack. All stages will be raced blind with no pre-ride or walk. Expect varied terrain from steep jungle gnar to high-speed backroads. Stage lengths will vary from 4-15 minutes, with 3 to 4 stages per day plus a prologue. Riders should be comfortable spending 3-6 hrs in the saddle with as much as 1500m of climbing in one day. Transfers will be a mix of pedaling and shuttles to maximize daily descending. Costa Rica’s mountains are steep and unrelenting so solid technical riding skills are a must
